Too Long 03:36
So we're heading out tonight, we'll have a coupla drinks Another pull of Dutch courage to step over the brink I'm sick of waking up each day and putting on this act Taking one step forward then I'm taking two steps back I've been waiting far too long [Chorus] It's that smile on your face, it's that look in your eye It pulls me in and makes me spin and lose hold of my mind Should I put up a flare? Do I ask do I dare? But I've waiting far too long for this See the flashing midnight show, the dance floor's come alight I can't help but edge away, hiding out of sight Everybody tells me that tonight should be the night Rather than just stop and stare, and watch life pass me by Someone's pushed me forward now, to the middle of the floor The center of the hurricane now I'm looking for the door But someone grabs my arm and turns me, my heart's just skipped a beat Suddenly I'm dancing with the girl of my dreams So we're heading out tonight, we'll have a coupla drinks Another pull of Dutch courage to step over the brink But this is more than alcohol, I know just what I hear Hand in hand she pulls me close and whispers in my ear "I've been waiting far too long..."

Standing at the crossroads, Looking left to right, is it worth the fight? Wondering where to go now, Do I leave or stay, or retrace my way back to you? Two and two do not always make four I should go but I know that I only felt empty before [Chorus] And then you came, to wash away All my pain, But still we fight and I walk away You know they say that love is blind Out of sight, not out of mind History repeating, I apologize even though its lies Cos I can't go on without you I accept the blame with a sense of shame It's not me, you must see although I can't be sure I should leave, I believe in the day that you walked through my door

I call them bullets, she calls them thrills If we keep up like this 'be more than time that she kills Idea of a night out empty bottles and fists, tickin' off the names of any guy that she's missed No limits no bars Don't be fooled by that smile between her and the devil I'd pick this girl every time [Chorus 1] Catching turning heads with every sway of her hips Crushing dreams with every single word from her lips She's a black alley princess, writing her life off Damn it friend this girl is a ticking time bomb Knock back that shot dear Drinks are on me Maybe there's one thing she just won't see One last drink goes with one last wish Damn it girl I'm telling you payback's a bitch [Chorus 2] Catching turning heads with every sway of her hips Crushing dreams with every single word from her lips Breaking all the rules and crossing every line Not a single shred of doubt in her mind Singing every song like she's queen of the stage If her life was a book this'd be the first page She's a black alley princess, writing her life off Damn it friend this girl is a ticking time bomb [Break] She's mysterious, makes me delirious But to fall for this girl's more than serious She sits imperious on her throne but this black alley princess is better of alone On her own is when she's at her best she considers it a test to entrance men women and the rest And leave them lying at her feet Surrounded by amendable shards of hearts incomplete With a word from the sugery-sweet lips of hers She has you under the thumb from the minute you converse She might want you for a while, you'll end up back on the shelf So stay away from this girl cos she's a danger to herself

Vacant Stare 03:08
You're not there, vacant stare Life's not always so fair You're confused, unaware Your life spent in this chair Time goes slow, do you know? Are you able to comprehend it? Pain once again, Do you sometimes wish you could end it? Crying shame, who's to blame? Can't remember your name Tell me God, what's your aim Is this life just a game? No pity, no dignity It's so scary how times forsakes Can't let you forget, I'll remember for both our sakes now Do you even recognize me? Look into my eyes and you'll see I miss you, I miss who Who you used to be No pity, no dignity It's so scary how times forsakes Can't let you forget, I'll remember for both our sakes now Time goes slow, do you know? Are you able to comprehend it? Pain once again, Do you sometimes wish you could end it? Do you even recognize me? Open up your eyes and you'll see I miss you, I miss who Who you used to be Who you used to be

It's funny how suddenly everything can turn around. Just a minute ago I had both my feet on the ground. Now I can hear the sound of that jealous animal inside me. It wants to be set free, somebody lock me up and hide me. Envious is something that it's wrong to be, But it's understandable 'cos you belong to me. Sing a song to me, tell me everything's okay, That she's out with the girls, it's just another normal day. But it's worrying to think she lives a life of intrigue, And I wouldn't be surprised because she's out of my league. Maybe I'm just being irrational, there's no evidence, And I would never bring it up in front of her in case I cause offence. I have no defence for thinking this way. Without trust in a relationship, it all goes astray, But every time she's out of sight, my mind plays trick and I can Picture her in the arms of an imaginary man. Although he is not real, he still walks in my dreams. A smiling face in my eyes, even though it's just a lie. Tell me what's wrong with me, tell me why can't I see, She is more than just my heart, she is tearing me apart. I'm surely not the only one who's ever felt like this, That empty feeling in your stomach as you're picturing a kiss. But you know it's gone too far when you consider plans to lock her Inside the house so that she can't get out, I'm like a stalker. Or use a camcorder so I can record her every movement, I could be on a restraining order. There's a border between a lover and a friend. If I acted like this and we weren't together, they would send People in white jackets who would grab and push and shove. In that world I am a psychopath, while here they call it love. I guess there's a part of everyone that is neurotic. Can we get a cure? I could do with an antibiotic To calm all my fantasies. I'll do all that I can To stop thinking of knocking out this invisible man. I need to make these nightmares leave me behind, But it's hard when every night I fear she might have changed her mind. Although he is not real, he still walks in my dreams. A smiling face in my eyes, even though it's just a lie. Tell me what's wrong with me, tell me why can't I see, She is more than just my heart, she is tearing me apart.

Pull down the window, send shut the blinds This is the way we live black and white lives So shut the curtains, turn out the lights This is the way that we've learned to survive But right now I know that there's more to be told Than dark rooms and echoes, and night's long and cold Something to reach for, something to feel More than just words let this song cut a deal [Chorus 1] Breath with me I'll pull you above the waves Walk with me I'll show you places and names Sing with me I'll give you words of your own To tell your own story and never let go Blunt down those blades dear, dry up the tears We'll wrap up your arms and cover your fears Just close your eyes now, listen in clear These are the words that you still need to hear [Chorus 2] Jump from that sinking ship reach for this line Fight through the storm girl don't lie down and die The world is worth more than just nickles and dimes Every day counts and now I'll tell you why Breath with me I'll pull you above the waves Walk with me I'll show you places and names Sing with me I'll give you words of your own To tell your own story and never let go

about

Crossroads is a compilation of 6 original tracks a long time in the making while we got the money together to record. The album title came from how we work as a band, as we have wildly different music tastes. From rap, hip-hop and dance, to heavy thrash metal at the extreme ends of the spectrum, we've found a happy medium.

The result is what we hope is a diverse little collection of lively tracks, ranging from rap, to rock to ballads. There should be something for everyone to enjoy!
